Alicia Baylor is a Healthcare Information Technology Consultant and graduate of the University of Montana's Gallagher School of Business. She has spent the last twenty years working in various healthcare organizations but has always had a passion for latin america, traveling and volunteering. She has held many volunteer positions for non profits over the years. She served for four years on the board of directors for Missoula Medical Aid which provides healthcare, agriculture and child development assistance for the wonderful people of rural Honduras. She made two trips to Honduras helping in various capacities and also assisted the organization with the overall strategy to shift from disaster response to a sustainable healthcare model.
She plays guitar, writes songs and enjoys playing in local venues wherever she travels to. Prior to working with Missoula Medical Aid, Alicia volunteered for a the Missoula Folklore Society which brought folk various musicians from all over the world to Montana for concerts. Alicia planned, promoted and produced these events during her tenure as a Concert Promoter. She is a daughter, sister, aunt and loving friend to many great people all over the world. Alicia's definition of home includes "wherever my guitar is". She is currently splitting her time between Southern California and Missoula, Montana. |

ESTEBAN ROSARIOEsteban Rosario is a young man who just finished his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus. From an early age he began to perform several volunteering with animals. But it was not in 2017 where he made the decision to go beyond, not only in shelters or veterinary clinics, but to go to a completely different country than usual, to work with elephants in Thailand. There he dedicated himself to helping the caretakers of these animals and it was where he woke up the interest of helping the world. Thus, joining Puerto Rico Rises where he wants to help in every way possible to improve the welfare of the world.

Is a non-profit organization created to honor the legacy of this young man, who was murdered in a carjacking, in June 2012 at Dorado, Puerto Rico. Stefanos death moved the whole country. His decision to register as an organ donor at the age of 16, and six months later saving five lives with his organ donation is a source of inspiration and healing for thousands of people.
Their mission is to support, educate and be instruments of transformation to prolong the well-being of those who come to them. The vision is that Fundación Stefano can prove Wings for Life. They support the parents, mothers and family members who have lost loved ones. Their services include: · Educate citizens about the importance of organ donation. · Massively recruit citizens of all ages to register as donors. · Support family members who have suffered the loss of loved ones. · Support the families of donors and recipients of organs, tissues, corneas and bone morrow transplant. · Stefanos Angels Violence Prevention Program and the School of Superheroes provide workshops for children and youth people in order to develop the resilience, emotional intelligence and character. Comité agua / waterAlejandro tiene 42 años, vive en Santurce. Estudió en USA por 8 años. Al regresar en PR y trabajar por 1 año en un banco y tuvo negocio propio por los próximos 12 años. Actualmente labora como paralegal y recién graduado el pasado mayo de 2019 de la facultad de derecho de la Universidad Interamericana, pendiente a tomar la reválida en marzo 2020. Es miembro de junta de dos fundaciones locales: PRoTechos y Land Heart Project. PRoTechos da entrenamiento de arreglo de techos (a prueba de huracanes) gratuito mientras arreglan techos en comunidades desventajadas en PR. Land Heart Project promueve y da clases de agricultura orgánica y sustentable basada en la permacultura – gratis, para agricultores.
Historial: Creé junto a un amigo de High School Water for Puerto Rico a una semana luego del paso de Huracán Maria. Water for Puerto Rico se dedica a distribuir ayuda humanitaria -principalmente filtros de agua- por todo Puerto Rico. Establecimos alianzas con fundaciones de la diaspora en California, Oregon y Texas. Gracias a ellos recibimos el equivalente de un contenedor de 45 pies por carga aérea de ayuda humanitaria. Lo filtros de agua los obtuvimos mediante fondos recaudados gracias a nuestros donantes en USA, Europa, Asia y PR. Colaboramos con otras fundaciones e iglesias para lograr la distribución de la ayuda, al igual que gracias a policías y bomberos de municipios, llegamos a muchos barrios necesitados en la montaña. Incluso, repartimos sobre 100 mattress nuevos en barrios de Rio Grande, Loiza, Canovanas y Naguabo, más asistimos en varias clínicas de salud gratuitas. Gracias a estos esfuerzos de muchos, Water for Puerto Rico logro distribuir ayuda humanitaria y filtros de agua en diversos barrios en Mayagüez, Aguada, Cabo Rojo, Manatí, Orocovis, Utuado, Adjuntas, Arecibo, Lares, Ciales, Corozal, Comerio, Villalba, Juana Diaz, Patillas, Arroyo, Guayama, Maunabo, Humacao, Fajardo, San Lorenzo, Gurabo, Las Piedras, Juncos, Naguabo, Rio Grande, Loíza, Canóvanas, y Vieques. |
